I edited the film “Barry’s Last Chance” with the director last week. The movie is done and will be screened in Santa Monica next Friday. It will also be sent to different film festivals. Notice the beginning music by Paul Quadri, a Swiss composer.

A student from the New York Film Academy shot the film “Beyond” and asked me to edit this sci-fi movie about William Wise who is inventing a time machine. Nice story and excellent final twist. Movie available soon on this website.

J’ai monté le film “Barry’s Last Chance” avec le réalisateur la semaine dernière. Le film est terminé et serra projeté à Santa Monica vendredi prochain. Nous allons également soumettre le film à divers festivals. La musique du début a été composée par Paul Quadri, un musicien suisse.

Un étudiant de la New York Film Academy a tourné “Beyond” et m’a demandé de faire le montage de ce film de science-fiction qui parle de William Wise qui invente une machine a voyager dans le tant. L’histoire est très bonne et le twist final est excellent. Le film sera disponible prochainement sur ce site internet.

On Saturday, we had a 14 hour day for the shoot of “Barry’s Last Chance”. The story is about Barry who wants to reveal his love to Danielle. But she is leaving town today.

Written and directed by Charles Jones, who is also acting in it, “Barry’s Last Chance” will be a fantastic short film of around 4 minutes long with excellent performance and amazing cinematography.

I was boom operator and was also in charge of uploading the footage from the DS-100 hard drive to the computer. The 100 GB hard drive was a “premiere” for me. I work very often with this same camera (Panasonic HVX-200) but usually with the P2 card system. The Panasonic was used with a 35mm lens package.

P.S. On Sunday, a kick-off meeting for “Lonely Road”, another short film we are going to shoot beginning of June. It is written and directed by Michael Rosenfeld who also did “Our Lost Translation”.

Samedi, nous avons eu une journée longue de 14 heures sur le tournage de “Barry’s Last Chance”. C’est l’histoire de Barry qui veut révéler son amour à Danielle. Le problème est qu’elle quitte la ville aujourd’hui.

Ecrit et réalisé par Charles Jones, qui a aussi une partie en tant qu’acteur, “Barry’s Last Chance” sera un superbe court métrage d’environ 4minutes avec d’excellentes performances et une cinématographie exceptionnelle.
Je m’occupais de la prise de son ainsi que de l’uploade des fichiers films du disque dur DS-100 sur l’ordinateur. Le disque dur de 100 GB était une première pour moi. Je travaille très souvent avec cette même caméra (Panasonic HVX-200) mais en général avec le systeme de carte P2. La Panasonic a été utilisée avec un pack d’objectifs pour caméra 35mm.
